SMCS Research Talks: Stability and Bifurcation Analysis of Euler Elastica model

The School of Mathematics & Computer Science (SMCS) would like to cordially invite you to the third Research Talks session where Mr. Sami Siddiqui will talk about "Stability and Bifurcation Analysis of Euler Elastica model" on Friday, Sept 30, 2022, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at MTS-7 Tabba Building, North Wing.

Mr. Sami Siddiqui is a PhD Scholar in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, SMCS. Sami is doing his research work in Mechanics and stability analysis. Below is the abstract of the topic that he'll be presenting.

Abstract:

In this talk, we will give a basic understanding of bifurcation theory and stability analysis. While considering Euler Elastica for the circular model, we will go into stability analysis using harmonic balance for various conditions. Furthermore, we will discuss bifurcation analysis theoretically by linearization method and numerically by continuation package MATcONT.
